Creative Industries Helping to shape The Bega Valley Cultural Action Plan!
The Bega Valley Shire Council recognises that creative industries can make a significant contribution to business growth and tourism as well as contribute to social benefits for our community.
On the 15th October our community was invited to meet the challenge and to explore and help shape a unique and targeted approach for the future of creative industries for the Bega Valley through the development of the Bega Valley Cultural Action Plan 2012 - 2016.
Through this seminar we were able to hear from our community on what you love about our region, what inspires you, and what we need to bring into our communiy to support and enhance our cultural diversity. This information helps us to understand what is important to you, and helps in creating our Bega Valley Cultural Action Plan. Presentations and discussion notes can be found under the Cultural Action Plan library. And we have some photos to share in our Photo Folder. We will soon be posting some forum topics to keep the conversations going, so please have a look through the workshop notes and start the ideas generating for our upcoming forums!
